Santa Was In My House is run by the Happy People Project.
The photo of your room stays on your own device while you edit it. We never upload the original photo.
When you click to get your photo, the finished picture is stored securely and privately so you can download it after paying. Only you can get it, through your payment link.
Every finished photo is automatically deleted 14 days after it is created, whether you paid for it or not. The download link in your email works for 7 days.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep a purchase record (your email address, the payment reference, date and payment status) for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes, after which it is deleted.
If you choose a charity after paying, we keep that choice with your payment reference and the amounts allocated for 7 years for accounting. Skipped choices go to Barnardos (IE). Charities do not receive your email address or photo from us. A temporary code in your browser lets you save your choice securely; it is not used for tracking.
We use your email address only to send you your photo and download link. We do not send marketing emails or share your email with anyone.
To stop misuse, we briefly record your internet (IP) address when you upload, limiting everyone to 10 uploads per hour. These records are deleted within about 2 hours.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. If you choose "No thanks", no analytics cookies are set. We have no accounts, logins or advertising cookies.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Email us at info@happypeopleproject.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission).
